The book is being widely patronized by the senior students and the teaching fraternity in almost all the universities of India and some neighboring countries. The book will also cater, it I.A.S., I.S.S, I.E.S., C.A.I.I.B., etc., in the subject of Economics.

The present edition has undergone several revisions and alterations. Special emphasis has been put on deleting some superfluous material and adding instead new topics and improving the others. Some of the added topics include Engel Curve, Compensated Demand Curve, Elasticity Measures, Division of Labor, Mobility of Labor, Capital Formation, Internal and External Economies of Scale, Cost Function, Degree of Monopoly Power-Its Measures, Collective Bargaining and Wage Determination. Three new chapters have been added: Forms of Market Structure, Profit Maximization and Pricing Methods, Appraising Project Profitability.

With all these changes, additions and improvements the present edition, in its new form and format, it is hoped, will prove far more useful to the readers than earlier ones. In view of the changed pattern of Question -Papers set for the examinations, Short Answer Questions and Objective Type Questions have been added to main question at the end of each chapter.
