General Introduction of Emily Dickinson

Text of the 45 Poems

I Never Lost as much but Twice

Success is Counted Sweetest

Just Lost when I was Saved

I Taste a Liquor never Brewed

Safe in their Alabaster Chambers

I Like a Look of Agony

After Great Pain a Formal Feeling Comes

The Soul Selects her own Society

I’ll tell You How the Sun Rose

There Came a Day at Summer’s Full

Some keep the Sabbath going to Church

A Bird Came down the Walk

Much Madness is Divinest Sense

This is my Letter to the World

I Heard a fly Buzz when I died

It was Warm

Dear March Come in

Going to her

I Started Early took my Dog

Because I could not Stop for Death

My Life had stood—A Loaded Gun

A Death-blow is a Life-blow to Some

The Last Night that she Lived

In Winter in my Room

A Light exists in Spring

There’s a Certain Slant of Light

A Route of Evanescence

Before I got my Eye put out

“Hope” is the Thing with Feathers

Essential Oils are Wrung

Of Bronze and Blaze

The Wind Tapped like a Tired man

The Saddest noise, the Sweetest noise

At half past three, a Single Bird

There is no Frigate like a Book

I felt a Funeral in my Brain

Tell all the Truth but tell it Slant

To fight aloud is very Brave

These are the Days when Birds come back

My life closed Twice before its Close

Besides the Autumn poets sing

The Bustile in a House

Elysium is as far as to

Just so Jesus Raps

This was a Poet—It is that
