For Graduate, Honors and Post Graduate Classes of Indian Universities and the I.A.S.,I.E.S. I.S.S., & C.A.I.I.B. Examinations and also covering U.G.C. Syllabus as Prescribed.

“Macro Economics” is a text-book which has been especially planned to cater to the requirements of graduate, honors and post-graduate students in monetary theory at the university level. The book not only fully covers the prescribed course of study but also presents the essentials of monetary theory in a compact, coherent, lucid and easily intelligible manner. The course of study prescribed by the Public Service Commissions for the State and Central Services have also been borne in mind while writing the present volume, as it stands now, leaves out nothing of importance which may be expected of graduate or post-graduate students in monetary theory.

The present edition has been thoroughly revised and updated so as to incorporate several new points and diagrams to elaborate the explanations. Many of the chapters have been enlarged by adding several new sections. These are: Human Development Report : 2013 Human Development as the Ultimate Goal (Ch.2), Ratio of Saving to GDP (Ch.3) Equilibrium Level of Employment and Income (Ch.5) Normal Income Hypothesis, Drift Hypothesis (Ch.6) Tobin’s Q Theory of Investment (Ch.7) Operation of the Acceleration Principle (Ch.8) Employment Situation in 11-12 (Ch.11) factors Determining Money Supply in India (Ch.14), Instruments of Monetary Policy, The Operating Procedure of Monetary Policy in India, Ch.22, Endogenous Growth Models (Ch.31).

With all these new addition and improvements, the present edition of the book will, it is hoped, prove more useful for students preparing for various examinations.
